"My body is always cold," he replied, with a quick shrug, placing a quick kiss on her forehead.

"Always?"

Her eyes had adjusted enough to the dark that she could see a grin form on his lips.

"Always," he confirmed.

Was that some sort of medical condition? Surely that couldn't be? Lacey dismissed that line of thought. It wasn't all that important anyhow. Replacing it were thoughts of her story, and the real reason why she was here. It occurred to her that she really knew nothing about Nigel, other than that he owned Club Vampire. For that matter, he knew virtually nothing about her either.

Sleeping with someone she didn't even know was quite out of character for her. There had been a couple instances during college, but many college women have those experiences. However, since college she'd been too busy for anything else other than work. She was consumed with the desire to succeed. Perhaps falling into bed with Nigel -

a virtual stranger - was simply a way for her to release all the pent up sexual frustration she'd been feeling over the past few years.

She needed to tell him the real reason for her coming to the club. She was sure he would be willing to grant her at least a small interview. She closed her eyes, enjoying the feel of him under her and his arms encircling her waist. Without realizing it, or meaning to, she drifted off to sleep.
